Bhasker Valand
ICT Contracts Manager

My main responsibilities are the management of the following ICT Contracts:
  • The Lambeth Connected Learning Project (LCLP), The LCLP is an eight year PFI contract with nine Lambeth Secondary schools in the project.
  • The Building Schools for Future Phase 1 ICT contracts for the new Secondary schools
  • The Futureclass Primary schools project. About a quarter of all the Lambeth primary schools are part of the managed Futureclass project that will end in July 2008.

LCLP and the BSF schools are fully ICT supported by Research Machines Plc and the Futureclass project is partly supported by the same company.

  • Working closely with our private sector partners in delivering the BSF and LCLP programme

  • Supporting Lambeth schools in the use of innovative technology across the curriculum
  • Specialised work with schools in film making, sound recording and broadcasting
  • CPD programme for teachers and TAs on the use of innovative technology across the curriculum
  • Brokering school partnerships with cultural organisations and businesses
  • Support for 14-19 creative and media diploma consortium.
  • Research projects to explore ways of enhancing teaching and learning through technology
